Colin's 3

We had one of Colin's birthday parties at our house this year!  Lots of family came up for the BBQ and to celebrate.

On to the next party!

We even caught him playing with his new toys in his undies, priceless!

Combination of cake and playing wore this kid out.  But not without his new truck and digger!

We rode our bikes up to the Memorial Day parade.  Nice parade and Colin got to see one of his favorite vehicles, the firetruck!

This is what happens when you give Kayla the camera...

Another cute sleeping picture...

Mississippi Palisades State Park

Can you tell how excited the kids were to go camping?

We also had an early celebration of Colin's 3rd birthday!  Looking back, his hair is so short!  This must have been his last haircut till a week ago.  Wait till you see how long it gets!

We were camping in Illinois overlooking the Mississippi River so Jordan's parents came too.

Cuties

Hello again!

We'll pretend that it hasn't been almost 7 months since our last post...  Kayla and Colin are both one year older, 6 and 3 now!  We're in a new apartment.  I have a new job.  Things have been busy!  I'll try to pick up where we left off.

Back in our 'old' house, here are Kayla and Colin in a nicely built fort!

Both the kids have been getting into legos lately.  Here is their first creation.  Without any help, they made the giraffe that was on the lego bag.

Mommy, not thinking anyone could hear her, "Shoot, we're out of juice boxes."  Kayla, "Shoot?  I don't want any shoot in my lunch!"

Kayla's last preschool concert!  Can you find her?

Kayla went to a birthday party for a classmate of her's and it was at the bowling alley.  All I can say is she made her Mommy proud!  She was the only kid to stay interested and keep bowling for the entire game and want to keep bowling afterwards.  Can't wait to get her started in a bowling league.

We think this picture was from cleaning out toy boxes and all the animals had to get seated just right around them for the picture.  Notice the crown on the pony!

Easter Brunch.  Colin was a little timid although you'd never know it now that he's been in 3k for a few months!

Taking a ride on his digger

Finding 'new' toys at the bottom of the toy box

Piggy shirt!  For some reason, Kayla does NOT like wearing this shirt.  We love it, but she just about refuses to wear it.  Who wouldn't love a cute pink piggy shirt?!

Colin still loves to do just about anything that Kayla does even down to wearing the same clothes.  I will come home from work to find that he has changed out of his clothes to wear something of Kayla's just because. :)  With that, here are our two adorable princesses.

Happy Easter!  Look at the toy mess at Grandma and Papa's!

The town hosted 'truck day' at the park.  Colin couldn't decide which one he liked the best, he liked them all!  Kayla's favorite by far was the ambulance.  She loves to take care of people, so maybe a paramedic is in her future!

Florida Update, Part 2

I'd like to say we've been really busy which is why I haven't updated in awhile, but....things have been pretty laid back.  Besides all four of us battling colds that have lasted for weeks, we've been playing at home waiting for spring to come.  We signed Kayla up for summer school (mini Kindergarten!), so I'm excited to see how that goes.  Colin will start going to Kayla's school mid-June, so he is looking forward to that.  Other than that, the kids have been there usual goofy, cute selves.  Let's get back to Florida which seems like eons ago.

Here's Kayla looking cute in the palm trees.

Our last day at the beach was very foggy and not that warm.  As you can see though the kids did not mind at all.

Look at those tan lines on Kayla!

Zoom zoom!  Colin loves his trucks.  Anything with wheels he's immediately drawn to.  Such a boy.  : )

He's got sand everywhere!

It was so hard getting them away from the beach.  They could probably spend all day in the sand and water!

Peek a boo!  Playing in the trees.

Kayla was so proud of herself for climbing up in this one.

Last day was spent at the park

Even after a whole day at the beach, they still ended up in the sandbox.

Hairclip girl!

At the airport, the kids still loved watching the planes which was a good thing because our flight was delayed by two hours!

We got back so late that both kids fell asleep on the plane.  It was pretty cute.
