Let's see if I can get a bit more caught up. :)
Carrying on with the end of summer, here's a good one of us celebrating Jordan's birthday. Daddy sure does love his birthday cookies!
We took a day trip to Lakeshore State Park in Milwaukee. We had a lot of fun hiking around looking for birds. Of course we had to take one nice pic and one silly pic.
Ate our picnic lunch while watching the boats go in and out of the harbor. We even saw a pirate ship!
Go Bears! Daddy is trying his hardest to get Colin into sports. At the moment, Colin is liking Napcar, I mean Nascar. He knows Matt Kenseth is Daddy's favorite and is always watching for crashes!
Pancake breakfast at the fire station. I don't know who had more fun, the kids using the hose to put out fires or Daddy watching the helicopter land and take off!
Not the best pic, but here are the kids all dressed up for Halloween! This year we had a monkey and of course, Elsa. It turned out pretty cold for trick-or-treating, so Daddy the construction man took the kids around the neighborhood while Mommy handed out candy. Eventually Colin got cold and decided he was done, so Daddy then drove Kayla around to each house. As you can tell, they had a blast!
So sweet these two. Look at Colin's long hair though! It's amazing how fast his hair grows. Kayla is still working on growing her's out so she can make a braid.
Happy birthday to our adorable 6 year old! Per usual, we went to the Dells for Kayla's birthday and each year, she just gets more and more adventurous. As you can tell, she was very excited to ride some big rides!
This photo might look familiar as it was on our Christmas card! Funny how an impromptu photo can turn into one of the better family pics. :)
Here's Colin with shorter hair. He still would prefer to grow it long like Kayla's but as long as Daddy's cutting his hair, it's all ok.
Our camera has slowly been falling apart. It currently looks like the Terminator with the metal eye. We're hoping to get a new camera soon, but in the meantime, we've been taking more photos with our phones. It works great until your memory card gets corrupted and you lose 3+ years of photos and videos! Not cool... Luckily some were saved because they were already on the computer. Here are a few of those photos in random order from last year.
Yes, Colin is wearing Kayla's clothes. He also LOVES to wear tights. We'll save the details of that for a future girlfriend.
Kayla is an amazing reader, best in her class. So, it's not surprising to find her with a pile of books somewhere. It's usually sitting on her Dora couch by the bookcase for easy access, but it was so cute to see the both of them cuddled up on the couch surrounded by books.
Daddy/daughter dance! Rumor has it Kayla could often be found out in the middle of the dance floor by herself just dancing along to the tunes.
Having fun with the monkeys at the zoo.
I vaguely remember Colin not feeling very well (hence the look on his face) when I took this picture but who could resist with that spiky hair!
On days when Daddy is gone, you can just about guarantee that there will silly selfies showing up on Mommy's phone.
This one was taken way back when we were still at the house. Apparently it was leaning that day.
