Christmas, Part 2

We leave for Florida in less than a week, so be prepared for lots of updates!  Until then, I'll do my best to finish up Christmas.  Some big Colin news is he is now 100% potty-trained!!  It is an exciting feeling to know I will never have to buy another box of diapers or wipes.  The question is what do I do with all the extras? It didn't take too long either, he's even sleeping through the night in his favorite Thomas the Train underwear. Here are Kayla and Colin watching movies together.  Kayla can now lift Colin up and carry him around for a few steps.  It's super cute.

Somebody's excited about their diggers!

Colin received a candy cane of mini Reese's chocolates.  This picture was taken after he had eaten literally half of them when we weren't looking.  How we all missed that, I have no idea!

On New Years, we braved the snow and took both the kids downtown on the train!  They had a blast with all of it, especially at the Rainforest Cafe.  We skipped the fireworks because of the snow and cold, but the kids didn't mind at all.

Kayla's quote of the week.  Jordan was watching Gold Rush or something similar and there was a guy with ear plugs in his ears.  Kayla saw this and said, "Look!  He has candy corn in his ears!"

Christmas, Part 1

Month and a half later, and we have a Christmas update.  : )  I'm not sure if it's possible, but the kids just seem to get cuter and cuter as they get older.  I had mentioned that Colin loves to mimic everything that Kayla does.  Well here he is wearing a dress just like Kayla.  Aren't they the cutest?!

This was probably the first year that Kayla was really excited to see Santa.  Even Colin was excited to see him too until we got there.  He refused to go see him and hid behind my leg!  Kayla told Santa she wanted a baby doll that cried and had a nook and pink sparkly shoes.

Here they are showing off what they got from Santa!

First Christmas was with Grandma and Papa Rowe at our house.  Kayla and Colin were pretty good at ripping through presents, saying how cool they were, then moving onto the next one.

On Christmas Eve, we showed the kids Norad and where Santa was with his reindeer.  They had fun watching him travel around the world.

Kayla and Colin helped write a note to Santa and picked out treats for him and his reindeer!

A quick Colin story.  They were both watching Frosty the Snowman, when he thought Santa did something bad to Frosty, so Colin says, "Bad Santa, go timeout!"

Here's the tree before the kids saw it.  : )

And....after!
