Summer 2019, Part 2

Colin had another relapse over the summer.  You can see his puffiness in these pics.  His doc decided to put him on a separate maintenance medication to try keep the relapses down.  Nine months later, it's working!  No relapses since we've started, knock on wood.  :)  I just showed Colin these pics now and he didn't even recognize himself!

Relaxing at Lake Geneva

I'll let you guess who is excited about playing bingo and who's just meh about it

Testing out the new hammock

The end of baseball season.  Jordan helped coach a great team and we're hopefully looking forward to some more baseball soon.

Kayla's softball team placed first in their four team group!  Way to go girls!

Our annual framily camping weekend at Mauthe Lake.  It rained and then rained some more!  Still had some fun though.  Kayla came too, we just don't have a picture of her for some reason!

Silliness at Frostie Freeze

We went to see Kids in Wisconsin and Colin decided he wants to play drums while Kayla wants to be in show choir.

Climbing trees in the backyard

We learned last summer that our property is a tiger salamander mecca!  These are just some from a bucket of over a hundred in our window well.

Camping at Willow River and made a side trip to Mall of America for some mini golfing and cookie dough!

About the only thing in my garden that turned out...the sunflowers!  That and my mini carrots and baby tomatoes.  Better luck next year!

Summer 2019, Part 1

We had a lot going on last summer.  Here's the first half!

Kayla applied for a mini-grant at her school and was accepted!  Her project was to make rubber band bracelets and sell them with the profits going to Paddy's Paws.  She ended up with about a $50 donation!

Here's to the start of softball and baseball season!

Colin was bored and I found him face down in his room like this.  Not like they don't have enough toys to play with!

Colin had a great first baseball season.  He tried out pitching and catching but found he liked first base the best.

Checking in on the bird houses with my helper!  We had nesting tree swallows and bluebirds.

Kayla had a great second year in softball.  Continued playing catcher and tried her hand at third base which also worked out well!

Mom, Dana, and Lee came in for a visit.  We went to baseball fest and Mr. Brews!

Happy 8th birthday Colin!  His birthday dinner was to a local hibachi.

Birthday party fun!

Kayla trying on some gas station sun glasses and they made her look five years older!

Woke up one morning to hot air balloons outside.  Pretty neat sight!

Playing with the new rocket and baseball practice

Afterwards, relaxing by the fire.  What a lovely day!

Last day of school for these two

We won tickets from BASE to go to a Madison Mallards game.  The kids (and us!) had so much fun.

And then this happened...

We adopted a fluffy kitten named Jett!  She is the softest silliest kitty I've ever seen.  And super cute!

Jordan took Colin to see his favorite band and Colin's first concert: Collective Soul
