We came home from California to no school and working from home! Jordan never worked from home but his office was able to work around social distancing and masking up. The kids and I got to making a schedule for the day while I adjusted to work with nothing from my office besides my computer. One thing we did join with other students was an art challenge! Every day, the winner from the previous day would pick the day's topic. Here is Kayla and Colin's intro photos and their two favorite creations.
Colin took this box over Niagara Falls! Thanks goodness he had a study box as he survived with only a couple of bumps and bruises.
We played quite a few boardgames includes Monopoly, Clue, and Life.
Somebody got a hold of my phone when I wasn't looking!
The kids recreated a photo from when I was a kid with our 35+ year old Speak and Spell.
Remote car wars!
We also taught the kids Rummy 500 and Gin. You can tell who won this game!
During burn season, Ash was with us during the day. She spent much of her time with me and giving puppy dog eyes which meant it was walk time.
Colin cuddles. I loved having him wake up to give cuddles!
Easter egg hunting and dyeing
Colin now helps me chop onions because he loves how it makes him cry.
Wisconsin Badger football games are known for playing the song "Jump Around" and everyone jumps in the stands. Wisconsin radio stations at 3pm on Saturdays during quarantine would play the song and the entire state would jump around at the same time. No matter what we were doing on Saturday, Jordan would call us to the garage to all jump around.
Once school started again, one of Colin's art projects was to build a castle. But we soon learned that the castle housed quite dragon!
Kayla's teacher taught the class how to bake. Her favorite recipes were the scotcheroos, ranch pretzels, and shirley temples!
