End of Summer and First Day of School

Daddy took the kids to a couple of car shows during the summer, and while I never made it out to one, the kids certainly enjoyed them as it usually meant park and ice cream!

Swim lessons were a highlight of course.  Can't beat the slide at the end!

Summer Camping

Big Foot Beach State Park

We don't have too many pictures from Big Foot, but we were able to knock another state park off our list while visiting family.

Perrot State Park

We had a really nice campsite at Perrot that faced the backwaters of the Mississippi.

Hiking up to the top of the bluff!  We kept the kids going by looking for rattlesnakes!  Only found a pair of old sunglasses, but they did make it to the top.  They look so tired!

Made it to the top and found some fabulous views, bats, and snake skins!

We all went fishing and look who was the only one to catch a fish!  Colin was the happiest kid for the rest of the day thanks to that little fish.  :)

Summer 2015

Let's see if we can get a little caught up with photos from last summer before this summer starts!

The kids and I took a little trip to Frosty Freeze while daddy was working late! Kayla usually gets a sundae of some kind while Colin loves his butterscotch milkshakes.  I think he takes after his mommy.  :)

Yep, you're seeing this right!  The kids are helping me with the dishes, and they actually enjoyed doing it!  I need to get this reinstated somehow...

Colin loves babies.  We visited our friend who just had a little guy and Colin just wanted to hold the baby all day.

Kayla on a mini-golf field trip.  She was able to take golf lessons this winter too and just loved them! 

The kids went to our local carnival with some friends and had a blast!  As usual Kayla tried every daring ride there.  Colin stuck to the easier rides.

At the Quad City zoo.  The best part was riding the ponies and feeding the animals and the carousel and the....

More zoo fun!  Daddy had a day off work, so he took the kids to the Madison zoo.
