For a short while, Colin was a huge fan on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Definitely brought back memories! He even got a shirt with a turtle shell on the back and a backpack. Ever since school started, apparently TMNT are a thing of the past as he refuses to where his turtle shirt or backpack. Who knows, maybe by kindergarten, they'll be back in style.
Check out this super tall cup tower Kayla made!
Just a random cute pic of the kids playing cars
Colin is a big fan of tumbling. He could do somersaults all day!
It's been so long, I actually do not remember this picture. But it sure is adorable!
Just another example of how much our kiddos adore each other. Here they are watching a movie at daycare, can you find them?
Hiding in their lockers!
Colin took soccer lessons last winter and had a great time! He actually got really got at stopping the ball.
Gotta go sledding at least once while there's snow on the ground. This is a typical scene though. Kids go down and Jordan or I have to bring the sled back up. :) We even had a ramp which may have hurt Jordan more than it hurt the kids.
Officer storytime at the library and Colin made sure to be up front and center!
Here is one of our many tents built for Colin. He doesn't do well sleeping in them, but he sure does love to read and play inside.
Our library has a Read to the Dogs program, so Kayla went one Sunday to read to Lola!

Christmas and New Year
Last Christmas, the first one in our apartment, Kayla and Colin insisted on sleeping in the loft where the tree was in hopes of seeing Santa! Somehow though, Santa snuck in after they fell asleep and they slept right though him dropping off all of his presents! And yes, that is a very very tiny tree. :)
And because I love me some sleeping kid photos, here's one of Colin with his new favorite monster truck pillow from Christmas.
For New Years, we took the train downtown and went to Navy Pier for some fun! They had tons of slides, bounce houses, and other rides. The kids had a blast!
Of course Kayla found her all-time favorite ride. Colin tried it for the first time this year, but he is not quite as adventurous as Kayla. Maybe next year!
Woohoo, the train! Of course, probably the best part about going to Chicago for Colin!
Random peanut truck at our grocery store. Had to get a pic!
Daddy and Colin went ice fishing for the first time last winter! Colin was really excited and insisted on holding that snow ball the whole time. I don't think they caught anything, but it sure was fun!
MONSTER TRUCK SHOW!! Colin had sooooo much fun, and Kayla started having fun there too. Daddy, Kayla, and Colin took a ride in a monster truck school bus! Besides the noise and the trucks, the best part about it was they were shooting t-shirts into the crowd and of course we were trying to get one for Colin. Instead, a boy a few rows in front of us got one, and he turned around, walked over to Colin, and gave him his shirt! He's got a little growing into it.

First Day of School
Today was Kayla and Colin's first day back to school! With any luck, you'll see those pictures on this blog in less than a year. I think it's fitting on this day that I try and get a bit more caught up with pics. Let's see how far we can get.
Eating cookies and showing off their artwork at their daycare.

Our very own Queen Elsa! Oh wait, that's just Colin. : )
Our local firefighter's breakfast.
I mentioned the Daddy/Daughter dance in the last post and here are the pictures that prove the rumor is true! She put on a show with her dancing moves.
Yes, we need another Halloween picture. I wonder what Kayla, Colin, and Daddy will be this year??
We finally caved and gave Kayla her first birthday party with friends. It was small but boy did they have fun. As you can tell, Colin had lots of fun with the girls too!
Late fall/early winter brings concert season! Colin had his first concert as a sunray, and as you can see was a little nervous. Kayla had a big concert with all the kindergardeners while Colin watched with his friend Bella!
Happy 6th birthday Kayla!
Daddy got to help out in Kayla's classroom on gingerbread house day!
Aww...look at what a good haircut will do for Colin. He looks so grown-up! Can't wait to see how much he's grown up this year too.
Kayla met Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Janesville Rotary Gardens. Colin was not having any of it. After watching the giant train set, we walked around and looked at all the pretty lights! I think this started Kayla's new favorite color of silver.
