Arizona Vacation

Last June, Mom (Gramma) took all of us out to Phoenix to visit Auntie Dana and Uncle Eric!  Here are the kids on the way to and at the airport.

Of course Daddy insisted in getting a photo of him with this Viper at the airport.  Colin jumped in too.

Checking out the local Farmer's Market and park

Going to Arizona in the middle of summer makes for very HOT days, so what better to beat the 100 degree heat by relaxing in the pool!  It was so hot outside that the 85 degree pool water felt cold!

Down and out!

Happy Father's Day!  We surprised Daddy with a 'funny' for his desk.

Checking out a lunch joint that had tons of pop flavors.

Jordan, Lee, and I took a road trip to Saguaro National Park for a day

Lou Malnati's!!

Uncle Eric teaching the kids the fine art of Uno.

Paint night!

Getting our Junior Ranger badge at Montezuma Castle

Lunch with aliens in Sedona

Slide Rock State Park - the name says it all!

Goodbye Arizona!  Hope to see you soon!

Colin's Birthday & More

We had a pretty busy May and June last year between celebrating Colin's birthday and just finally being able to enjoy going outside.  My aunt came in from California, and she came up to visit.

Colin and Chase fishing in our front yard river.  Oh yea, did we mention we moved back into our old house?  That's the very short version of a very long story, so we'll just stick with that.  :)

Colin's birthday party was mini-golf!  You'll notice that it was VERY hot that day, but we made it work.  Colin had a blast celebrating with all of his buddies.

Kayla's school had an outdoor concert and BBQ.  They even got to make an ice cream sundae of the principal!

Mommy dusted off her wildlife rehab skills to help save these two orphaned raccoons.  The kids were really hoping that we could take care of them (Mommy too!) but then she remembered how messy raccoons get, so off to the wildlife rehab center they went!

Birthday boy turns 5!

Kinda blurry, but look at those presents!

Checking out the Fort Rendezvous.  Daddy got to set off a cannon, Colin and Archer chased after arrows, and ran into some more friends!

Later that day (I told you we were busy!), Kayla had her girl scout graduation from Daisy to Brownies

Last chalk drawing at the apartment

Shopping at Menards.  Being goofy as always.

Raccoon out the window!

Took Kayla till she was 7 1/2, but we finally got her on a two-wheel!  Sure it's two sizes too small, but she's riding all by herself so it counts!  She mastered two-wheels over the summer and now she's a pro.

Hanging out with cousins in Lake Geneva

More fishing.  Check out that catfish!

Selfie fun

Kayla and Colin meeting their cousin Piper for the first time.  Colin was smitten with her!

Birthday party with Elle

Summer means car shows and ice cream with Daddy.  The kids really liked the zombie car.
