Kayla applied for a mini-grant at her school and was accepted! Her project was to make rubber band bracelets and sell them with the profits going to Paddy's Paws. She ended up with about a $50 donation!
Here's to the start of softball and baseball season!
Colin was bored and I found him face down in his room like this. Not like they don't have enough toys to play with!
Colin had a great first baseball season. He tried out pitching and catching but found he liked first base the best.
Checking in on the bird houses with my helper! We had nesting tree swallows and bluebirds.
Kayla had a great second year in softball. Continued playing catcher and tried her hand at third base which also worked out well!
Mom, Dana, and Lee came in for a visit. We went to baseball fest and Mr. Brews!
Happy 8th birthday Colin! His birthday dinner was to a local hibachi.
Birthday party fun!
Kayla trying on some gas station sun glasses and they made her look five years older!
Woke up one morning to hot air balloons outside. Pretty neat sight!
Playing with the new rocket and baseball practice
Afterwards, relaxing by the fire. What a lovely day!

Last day of school for these two
We won tickets from BASE to go to a Madison Mallards game. The kids (and us!) had so much fun.
And then this happened...
We adopted a fluffy kitten named Jett! She is the softest silliest kitty I've ever seen. And super cute!
Jordan took Colin to see his favorite band and Colin's first concert: Collective Soul
