As usual, the kids played in the airport's play area prior to takeoff. For the first time this year, they each had their own seat, so Kayla and I were in one row and Colin and Daddy were in a row behind us. It worked out well that way and the kids kept busy with their activity boxes.
Here's Kayla giving her trademark 'look'. Notice how short Colin's hair is? At daycare, him and the other girl there managed to find some scissors and Colin insisted on giving himself a haircut. Luckily they were quickly found but he was in major need of a buzz cut.
The first day at the beach was a little chilly but the kids could have cared less. They spent their time running up, down, up, down...then chasing the water...and of course digging.
Daddy took us to a drum circle where we all had a fun time dancing to the drums. There was even someone there with camo face paint and Colin thought he was a zombie!
Hanging out at the condo with a chair cushion as a hat!
Can't forget to make a trip to the bumpy bumpy slide park!
Colin selfie! He loved taking the camera and taking pictures of everything. His toys, us, the balcony, his bed, his toes, the list goes on! It's always fun looking through photos when you didn't realize one of the kids had the camera.
Found an armadillo! In fact, we saw five armadillos at this park! And an alligator, and a mean piggy.
Hiking. I really enjoyed hiking with the kids this year as they were both very interested in their surroundings and finding different things. Looking forward to them getting older and we can go on longer hikes!
We went to one of the state parks and took a 'train' ride around the park and got to see lots of alligators. Colin got his train fix for an hour or so. : )
Then we climbed the tree tower and walked across the tree bridge. Amazingly, both kids made it all the way to the top.
