Summer 2016, Part 2

We spent a lot of time on the water last year.  Here we are on the lake in Milton.

And swimming with cousins in Lake Geneva

Kayla and Smudge

Our other kitty, Pumpkin, is a bit more selective in when she wants to cuddle.  So much so, that Kayla created this poem for her:

If you give me scratches, I'll give you kisses
But if you scratch me in the wrong spot, I'll give you hisses.
Love, Pumpkin

Who doesn't like a good face painting!?

More camping!

Daddy was backpacking out west, so the kids sent him this photo on his birthday

Colin was on a monster-drawing kick last year and wanted a picture with all of his monster friends!

Silliness

Sleepy morning time

Found a fuzzy caterpillar!

Took the kids to work with me on their daycare day off.  Tried not to goof off too much at my desk and then went out to do bullfrog surveys!  Found some but couldn't catch any.  Those buggers were fast!

First day of school!  Kayla started second grade and Colin entered the world of kindergarten.

Here's Colin with just a small handful of buddies.

Jordan and I got to sit in class with him for the first hour.  And as of today, they have just over a month left of the school year!

Hot day for a junk parade!

Since we're back at the house, the kids now take the bus to school!  We're the first stop, so the kids are on the bus for an hour with a transfer at the middle school.  But they've quickly made friends, and I have yet to hear them complain.

Kayla and her Brownie troop!

Caught a frog!

I'll end with this one.  I'm about to be ambushed by Colin with a nerf gun!
