As the spring wore on, we participated in a drive-by birthday parade, continued with our many art projects, and tried to stay home as much as possible. Kayla also continued with her baking and not only tried to win her art class' cake contest (she lost to a beach scene!) and made puppy chow to deliver to hospital staff.

All the fifth grade students at Barrie received signs for their yards and were delivered by their teachers! Kayla was super happy to see her teacher for one more time during the school year.
Once it started getting really nice out, we ventured out to the bike path for our walks. The kids would often bring their scooters while I walked Ash.
The cats quickly learned that having us home all the time meant toys could be endlessly thrown to them.
Let's start the socially distanced celebrations! We have Colin's birthday and Kayla graduating from elementary school
For Colin's birthday, instead of a birthday party, we went to a few of his friends' to say hi and play outside. Parker made Colin a sign. :)

I'm not quite sure what's going on here
This birthday gift was kid-approved
We had a virtual 5th grade celebration for Kayla. Barrie did a fantastic job putting it together. All the staff dressed up and it really felt special even though we couldn't be there in person. I may have had a tear or two in my eye.
Enjoying our dock down by the pond
