Colorado/Utah 2025, Part 1

Took the camper out west this vacation.  After leaving Jordan's parents bright and early Saturday morning.  First stop was a tree in Iowa where the road was built around it.

Camped at a reservoir by Ogallala, NE at the same spot we camped at three years ago.  Love this area.  It was quite stormy on the drive there and throughout the night. This was Ash's favorite spot as she got to run on the beach.

The next day we experienced our one and only major camper issue.  We hit a bump on the road in Colorado and broke a leaf spring.  As it was Sunday and we were out in the middle of nowhere, help wasn't able to come until Monday, so we left the camper on the road and drove to Steamboat Springs.  Luckily, the camper was fixed by lunch on Monday and we were back on the road to Vernal, UT.

After we got settled at our campsite, we went on a small hike to see dinosaur footprints.  Quite amazing to think millions of years ago, Dilophosaurus walked where we walked.

Dinosaur National Monument.  Colin is in his non-smiling era.

After Dinosaur, on the way to Moab.  We found a burned down suspension bridge that Colin swung on.

Fun KOA campground in Moab UT.

We went whitewater rafting down the Colorado River as we had to cancel our original trip when the camper broke down.

We saw so many cool petroglyphs but the best ones were at Newspaper Rock.

One of MANY amazing scenic pictures from Jordan's side travels.

Arches National Park

Canyonlands National Park - we had some good haze from the Grand Canyon fires

More of Arches the next day with the sunrise

Next stop, Ouray CO!
