The day before the wedding, Kayla decided she needed to wear earrings, so before our mani/pedis, we went to Woodfield to get some clip-ons. I did my best to convince her to get her ears pierced but as much as she LOVES watching other kids on youtube get their ears pierced, she was adamantly against it. "But it's gonna hurrrt!" So we got clip-ons which she wore the rest of the day. Unfortunately, it was bad timing to learn she is allergic to nickel and that was the end of cheap clip-ons. Luckily, Daddy took her back to Woodfield before the wedding to get sticker earrings.
Then it was the big day! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the kids were perfect. Kayla was with me prior to walking down the aisle and when we met the guys moments before, Colin didn't even recognize me! It must have been all the makeup and hairdo. : ) It wasn't until halfway through the ceremony, when you hear, "Mommy?? Mommy!!!" and rushes up to give me a big hug. Just look at that little guy in his suit and tie!
Kayla had tons of fun getting her hair and makeup done too. She looked like a little princess with her curls!
Here's one with lots of goofy grins. Colin kept entertained during pictures by pulling out all of the yellow flower petals in the bouquet. Kayla saw how much fun that was and had the whole floor around her at the table covered in petals.
Kayla and the beautiful bride!!
Colin went home to sleep after the wedding, and Kayla tore up the dance floor. Once she took her shoes off, there was no stopping that girl from dancing the night away. We eventually had to pull her off the floor at 11pm to go home!
Dancing with Stef, saying thanks for doing my hair!
My two favorite guys! Poor Colin was sick over the weekend. He came down with a fever on Saturday and by Monday it still hadn't gone down. So, after a trip to the doctor, we found out he had a viral infection that causes mouth sores. Poor guy, no wonder he wasn't eating! His fever finally started going down today and he even ate a few bites of dinner!
