Florida Update

So we realized this year, that this was Kayla's 5th time down in Florida.  We both couldn't believe how often she's been down!  What a travellin' girl.  As always, we had a great time down south.  The plane ride down went very smoothly.  Colin is in his airplane stage...airpane!  The entire time at the airport, he watched airplanes, and even when we boarded the plane, he knew that we were now inside a plane.  He was one excited boy!

We loaded the kids up with suckers, sandwiches, and stickers...so many stickers.  They were quite content the entire way.  We even had people compliment us with how good our kids were.  What a pleasant change from last year!

Once there, Kayla and Colin were in Florida heaven.  It was a little chilly the first couple days, but the rest of the trip was sunny and 70s.  Perfect beach and pool weather!  Even with it cool, Kayla and Colin did what they could to get as wet and sandy as possible, with their giant leaves of course.

Somebody loves their beaches and saying goodnight to the sun!

It was even colder and windier the next day!  Kayla and Daddy still went down to the beach, but came back after five minutes of wind-blown sand everywhere.

Daddy and I were packing up to heading down to the Everglades for a couple of days, so Kayla and Colin had to test out our sleeping bags to make sure they were warm enough.  They passed!

Kayla even later insisted on having a sleepover in the sleeping bag.  We know what she's getting for her birthday this year!

Back from our little excursion, we spent some time catching up with our two rascally kiddos.  Colin is having a tricky time learning how to say Kayla, so he coined his own name for her...Lala!  I'm hoping it sticks!
