April 20, 2008

Baby was 10 weeks old yesterday, which means I'm a quarter of the way through the pregnancy!  Now that is really hard to believe!  Another milestone in the baby's tiny life if by the end of this week, it will no longer be an embryo.  It will be complete, organs and all, with nothing new to add.  It will have fingernails and eyelids and be about 1.5-2 inches long!  At this stage it is now a fetus.

I'm still pretty cold most of the time.  Last week when it was 70 outside, I felt very comfortable in a sweater.  I hope this stage doesn't last very long because I'm always cold and now I'm colder!  I've also been experiencing some back and sciatic nerve pain, which many people have been telling me is early.  I think it has something to do with the chair I sit in at work.  A pillow against my back has been working wonders!

Awww..Smudge just came up and said hello to the baby by kneading my tummy.  : )  People at work are starting to notice my growing belly, but I have not made the move to maternity pants yet.  They still don't fit, but luckily low-rise pants work great too.

Here is a pic of a 10-week old baby.  On this same website they showed an ultrasound of a 10-weeker moving and kicking!  How cute to think the little one inside me is moving too!
