This post is being dedicated to Kayla's dear friend, white Minnie, not to be confused with mama, purple, Halloween, or pink Minnie. Kayla had a 24 hr flu bug over the weekend, and since I didn't want germs or yak getting on Minnie, Minnie was also sick and stayed out in the car. Surprisingly (although maybe for Kayla, not so surprisingly), she was really ok with not having Minnie to comfort her or help her fall asleep. Granted she did ask for Minnie often and had a harder time falling asleep, but nothing more than that. The worst where I almost caved in, was Kayla telling me that Minnie will help her feel better after she had just gotten sick. Minnie is now in the laundry for her final cleaning where she will then go in a safe spot for awhile. We'll miss you Minnie! Here's a brief montage of Minnie and Kayla.
The original purple Minnie

A couple months later, white Minnie came and there was no going back. Not even when just recently a brand new identical white Minnie appeared that had an actual white dress with purple sparkles and a dress that had not been half chewed off. This 'mama' Minnie was no match for white Minnie.

Kayla and Minnie passed out on the floor. Look closely at that dress. It's half gone! Kayla would be chewing on her, get a funny look on her face, then reach her finger in her mouth and pull out a piece of Minnie dress.

Now that Minnie has moved on, we're working on introducing Colin to a lovie. At the moment he doesn't have anything in particular although he reallly likes the pink butterfly hanging on his car seat. His pink car seat toys has caused many to confuse him for a girl, but Colin doesn't seem to mind. He just smiles and continues chewing on the butterfly.

Poor Colin. I don't like to compare Kayla and Colin, but Colin is literally the exact opposite from Kayla in just about every way possible. Kayla has always been a very calm and quiet baby/kid. As a baby, I would lose her at parties because she'd be passed from one person to the next without hearing a peep from her. Colin on the otherhand, doesn't do well in new situations and will loudly protest being held by people he doesn't know or not eating as well at new places. Although if that new place has a cat, Colin is all for it. He LOVES to watch cats.
Another example is water. Kayla is a fish and has never turned down going in the pool or taking a tubby no matter how old. Colin...not so much. Our goal is to get him to tolerate the water by next year cause that boy has no idea how much swimming Kayla likes to do.
get me out...GET ME OUT!!

This picture was taken after at least 7 pictures of Kayla with her eyes closed. Colin of course had that wide-eyed look in every picture.

It was Halloween weekend at the trailer and this year we had a pink dinosaur and a cow. Too cute!!

Enough with the pictures, let's go!

The tail was definitely the cutest part about Kayla's costume. Althoug halfway through trick or treating someone told her to make sure no one steps on your tail...so she held it up the rest of the way.
