Kayla is still using her big girl bed every day and just loves it. She loves curling up to her Dora blankets with the 'hot' on. Hot = electric heater that looks like a fireplace. She's been sleeping with the nightlight on, and when she wakes up in the morning we turn the bright light on, she asks for sunglasses. : ) We also have added the tiniest amount of toothpaste to her toothbrushing routine. We were grocery shopping when Kayla spotted the special 'Dora paste" and had to have it. It makes toothbrushing slightly more easier than usual.
Oh! The big Kayla news is that about two weeks ago at daycare, she used the big girl potty for the first time!! Of course, it was the first and only time, but she is getting more interested in using it. At home she'll strip down and call herself a 'nakey baby' then sit on the potty and pretend to go. And when I say she pretends, she makes noises too. Then she wipes her 'booty' and flushes, but one of us have to make the flushing noise. It's too cute. She'll be ready before we know it!
We've noticed that Kayla tends to talk in her sleep sometimes. Just last night she woke up crying, "I want my plate back!" A different night a week or two ago, we heard her say "Goofy" and then later in the night, she said "I want cookies." I'm going to miss having her in our room when baby comes.
Kayla's new favorite game is hide and go seek. One of us will go hide and if she looks somewhere that we're not, she'll say "Nope"..."Nope".
She's starting to give names to places that we go, but they all have something in common as you can see...
"Library house" - library
"Shopping house" - grocery store
"Party house" - Great aunt and great uncle's house. : )
