Well, we've reached the home stretch of the third trimester and I can't wait! One big thing that Jordan and I have decided on in the past week is out baby's name! We couldn't decide between Kayla or Brooke, so we combined then and her name will be Kayla Brooke Rowe. : ) Or KB for short.
As you are all aware of, I have been experiencing a lot of back pain pretty much since the third month and after a couple of sessions of physical therapy that wasn't helping, it dawned on me that maybe it is heartburn. Sure enough, after taking medicine for that, my back pain completely went away! I couldn't believe I didn't realize this sooner. Of course now that this problem was solved, another symptom pops up in the form of swollen calves and ankles. Yes, I'm getting cankles! My belly button is half popped out, which looks kinda strange and you can see in the pic below. I also have the pregnancy line!
Kayla is about 2.5 pounds and her eyes have fully opened. She takes very short breaks in her kicking fest, but for the most part, knows when to let me sleep.
Jordan and I have started our baby class, which has been very informative. Our hospital room looks big and inviting. Tomorrow we get to see the nursury and babies!
Our house is coming along. The basement and garage has been cleaned of mold and the electricity has been turned back on. We are now only waiting on the water heater and furnace with new air ducts. We anticipate being back in the first week of September, hopefully!!
I had a doctor's appointment today with some good news and some other news. The good news is the next appointment is only 3 weeks away instead of 4, which means we're getting really close! The other news is somehow I gained 11 pounds since my last visit and I am up to 24. Yikes!!
