Well, since you're seeing a Kayla update, it means no signs of Noopy yet. I was hoping for today since then Kayla and Noopy would be exactly 2.5 years apart, but Noopy was too comfortable today to come out. My last day of work is still going to be Tuesday, so hopefully he'll come shortly after that. A couple of things I forgot to mention before that pregnancy has affected....the main one being my spring allergies. I am highly allergic to tree pollen and usually have about a 2-3 week window of misery where my nose is itchy and runny and my eyes are itchy and red. But so far this spring, my nose has been perfectly fine and my eyes have only been a little itchy. Where can I get more of these pregnancy hormones next spring?? I don't remember this happening last time, but I have not clogged the shower drain with my hair in months now which make both me and Jordan very happy.
Kayla's daycare provider was out on vacation for the past week and we had multiple family members come by and watch Kayla while they were gone including two Papas and an Aunt! Kayla of course LOVED it. She went to the park just about everyday (one day was even 2 hours!), played outside, had vitamins at multiple times during the day (and usually more than she is allowed to have) and convinced Papa that she needed to add to her Dora collection when they stopped at Walgreens. However, one negative to all this is that she started to get out of her daycare routine and has started to test Jordan and I with her actions. She's always been a great listener, but this past week has been quite difficult and she hasn't listened to much of what we say. She also will not stay in bed. She has learned that she doesn't need to wait for us to get her out of bed in the morning, so she'll just get out of bed herself. We have the baby monitor on, so we hear her get up and when we go see what's she's doing, she'll be playing with a puzzle or digging through the toy box. I have no problem with this in the morning, it's when she's getting out of bed at night and refuses to go to sleep. For the past several days, we haven't been able to get her to go to bed much earlier than 9 since she keeps coming out of her room to say, "I'm awake!" And she no longer wants to sleep in her Dora bed. Last night she slept in the twin bed in her room, and tonight, the only way to get her to sleep was to have her sleep on her Dora couch/bed. Hopefully getting back to her daycare routine tomorrow will fix all this. I was expecting all this when the baby comes, not for a small change in daycare! Here's Kayla on a better sleeping day:

Kayla had a really fun Easter. We had a mini Easter egg hunt in the living room and she was excited to find the eggs and eat the candies inside. There is Children's Time at the service where they usually sign songs and Kayla has actually really started to get to know and like the songs, but of course, when all of the other kids were singing, she just sat on her chair and smiled. It's really cute though because she's learning so many new songs and can even sing a couple of them on her own including Rock-a-Bye Baby and Pat-a-Cake. We're hoping to get a video of her singing songs soon.

We had some gravel delivered to our house so Jordan could grade and gravel our driveway. Kayla was very happy to have a "big pile of dirt" in the driveway and made Dada put her on top of it everytime she went out. She was also very intrigued with the Bobcat, and we watched Dada work in the Bobcat for a long time until the mosquitos drove us inside. Now she's quick to point out any Bobcat we pass and is always asking where her big pile of dirt went.

Here's Kayla at Grandma's house helping her clean up after making chocolate cake. Not only did she help clean up, but she did a really good job taste testing the batter.

I know I've said this before, but I am going to start writing down more of Kayla's cute sayings, since she is always saying something cute and having more of that posted here. Until then, hopefully Noopy will make his appearance soon!
