There haven't been much in Kayla updates lately, and she's been one busy girl! Back when Colin was born, Kayla still had one more toddlertime to attend, which I couldn't make. Of course, it was the best one because they had farm animals! Kayla loved the all, but her most favorite was the chicken. Maybe when Kayla gets older and we have a new house, we can get a chicken coop. : )

One of Kayla's favorite books to read these days, besides Clifford the big red dog, is Ariel the little mermaid. Her favorite part of the book was the SHARK! so we introduced her to the Disney movie and one day, she insisted on watching the shark scene over and over, but would peek out from behind the wall because sharks are scary. We have been telling her we'll take her to the Shedd Aquarium to see som real sharks.
RARRRR!
Kayla has been big into bugs lately and not in a good way, with the exception of box elder bugs. Kayla is very scared of just about all other bugs, even lightning bugs! Just the other day, she accidentally poked herself in the eye and she thought she was stung by a bee. But if we see a box elder bug outside, she'll squat down and watch it. She even told Jordan one time that the box elder bug was going home to see his family and play with his toys.
fun at the park
Jenny has a slip n slide at her house and Kayla loves it! It's only been warm enough to use it once, and it was too late to change into a swimsuit, but here's Kayla having some fun.

Kayla sayings:
Kayla is very insistent when she wants someone to read to her. She'll bring you a book and say, "Read!" And if you are too slow in turning a page or reading, "READ!"
We were watching a silly tv show the other day with people falling in the water and Jordan had called me over to watch a certain part. Kayla was watching too and laughing each time someone fell in. A few minutes later, she tells me, "Watch this Stace!" I asked her who stace was and she said I was!
This one is thanks to Papa who calls her pants, britches. Pull up your britches, Kayla! Yesterday, we were in the car and Kayla had her Minnie when she said, "Minnie has poops in her britches!" Ha!
Kayla's favorite place to eat is the "blue nummy house" or Culvers. And she'll only eat grilled cheese and sweet potato fries.
Kayla is learning how to discipline herself. She makes our job too easy! Last weekend, she was being extra fussy, so I asked her if she should go down for a nap. She thought about it for a second, said, "yea" and walked herself into her room, layed down and took a nap. Needless to say, she was much happier when she woke up. A few days later, she was fussy again, and we didn't even have to ask! She just said she was going to take a nap and headed to her room. Unfortunately, it was right before heading off to Jenny's so no nap was taken.
