July 26, 2011

Colin was two months old yesterday!  Wow, how time flies.  Not much is new with him besides the same old fun things.  Friday is our last day just the two of us before I go back to work fulltime.  He's adjusting well at Jenny's so I have no worries about him being at daycare.  I'm just going to miss our time together!

Jordan is out hiking in the Tetons this week, so it's just me, Kayla, and Colin.  The mornings are pretty challenging, but the evenings aren't too bad.  It's just tricky making dinner and keeping everyone entertained.  I think we're all looking forward to Jordan coming back though.  It's been nice having recruitments help out on the weekend!  : )

Colin has some pretty fun facial expressions:

Kayla has finally learned that she actually likes riding on Dada's shoulders and it's not as scary as she thought it was even though she clings pretty tightly to Jordan's face.

We stayed in a hotel a few weeks ago while visiting Jordan's parents, and Kayla loved two things about that hotel.  The fish and the pool!  She thought the fish were going to bite her nose.
I'm gonna bite your nose!

Unfortunately, Kayla slipped out of Jordan's hands in the shower and split her lip.  It wasn't bad enough to take her to the hospital, but the scar might last awhile.  Kayla liked to look at it in the mirror.  She also like the chocolate ice cream that was supposed to make her ouchie feel better.

Ooo!  Car seat toys.  I love those!

We may have been slightly crazy and brought Kayla and our 5.5 week old baby to see the fireworks on the fourth.  Colin was great and it probably was because the fireworks weren't too close.  Kayla had tons of fun making friends with other girls.  They played bubbles, ball, and chase.  Here is Kayla learning how to use our camera to take a self-portrait.  The next is the four of us enjoying the fireworks.

On our way home, we stopped at a nice river overlook to feed Colin.  Even though the picture is a little washed out, you can see Colin sporting a pretty funky hairdo.  He's currently molting and getting new hair in, but it sure looks funny in the process!

Here's Kayla watching someone fish.  She was very concerned about the sharks and crocodiles in the water, but we reassured her that the fisherman would only catch small fish.  : )
