KAYLA IS ONE!!! We are all so excited about our growing little girl. Although, at the same time, I'm a little saddened because I will always miss her younger days. She is growing up so fast these days. Literally there is something new every day. Yesterday, she learned how to identify her toes; the day before it was eyes; and the day before was teeth. And that is just adding to her list of head, ears, nose, belly, and Kayla. Today as she was sitting up in her crib (she learned how to sit up a week ago), she pulled herself up to a standing position! Looks like we'll be moving the crib down asap! Just this evening I watched her stand by herself for 10-20 seconds at a time. I think we'll have a little walker soon! I can only imagine what Kayla will learn to do tomorrow...and the next day. : )
We had a great birthday party with the families.
Kayla had fun pulling tissue paper out of bags and reading cards, but once books and toys started coming out, she left the unwrapping to me. After a 5 min nap (literally!), it was cake time. At first she wasn't quite sure what to do.
Then she started picking off the dots on her lady bug cake.
Then she started poking into the cake and after about 25 min, there was no cake left and Kayla needed a bath. : )
All clean!
We have a doctors appointment tomorrow so we will find out how much Kayla weighs and if we can turn her car seat around. The will be fun when we can. She is also onto milk so we don't have to buy formula anymore. yea!
Kayla and her lotion bottle. She loves to carry it EVERYWHERE.
