11 weeks! Wait...what?? Kayla isn't 11 weeks old. What's going on here?!? Well, if you must ask............

We're having another baby!! And if you ask Kayla what her big news is, she'll tell you, BIG SISTAH! She even has a big sister t-shirt that she is very proud of. Kayla is very excited about a new baby brother or sister since her daycare provider just had a baby 2 months ago. If you ask her where Momma's baby is, she'll point to my tummy. It's cute!
Baby's first due date was May 5. Then after measuring baby, it was pushed back to May 19. So, sometime in May our little one will be making his/her big entry.
The cats were AGAIN the first ones to let me know I was pregnant. (I couldn't even get a positive from two pregnancy tests!) Smudge would start kneeding my stomach while Pumpkin would come up and lay next to my stomach. Some nights they were competing for the coveted spot of my baby belly. Crazy how animals know things like that.
So far, this pregnancy has been very different compared to the first one. Maybe a sign?? We'll see come January. There was a three week period of constant queasiness. I could barely eat since food just looked gross. Hot soup was about the only thing that looked good those weeks. I also am getting headaches and the occasional migraine, which never happened before. I'm definitely very tired all the time, but that's normal. Luckily, now that I'm heading into the second trimester, I'm starting to feel better and get more hungry. I've got a baby pooch going on, but not big enough to switch to stretchy pants yet.
It's fun comparing how I felt before from past journal entries to how I feel now. My next ultrasound is right when we get back from Costa Rica, so I'll post more on how I'm doing then. I hope I don't get too uncomfortable on the plane! My back has been feeling iffy lately, so we shall see.
