8 months

Only four months to go and Kayla is going to have a big birthday!  She is growing up way too fast.  She now has two bottom teeth with another one coming in on top.  For the most part, she is handling teething pretty well with only a couple of bad spells.  Still no crawling yet.  She's still happy sitting and playing or rolling around on her back and tummy. 

We were shopping in the produce section the other day and noticed the scale went up to 30 pounds or so.  We looked around to make sure no one was watching and stuck her on.  Kayla is up to 16 pounds!  I would have loved to have taken a picture, but we were too afraid someone would see and not be happy about it.

Kayla took her first boat ride over the weekend at her great aunt and great uncle's house on Lake Geneva!  She looked like a squished marshmellow in her lifejacket but she was oh so cute.  She took it extremely well too and didn't fuss too much.

She's starting to babble a lot more, especially with saying her mamamamas and babababas.  She had about a weeklong stretch of sticking her tongue out whenever someone else (especially Jordan) stuck their tongue out at her.  She's starting to wave now too even though her wave is just sticking her hand out in the air.
