Baby is 5 and a half months old now and weighs in at one whole pound! She is actively kicking away and I think Jordan has seen/felt a total of three kicks, I have seen/felt about a million already. Baby and I have to get him up to speed!
We had one heck of a weekend so of course we did not take any belly shots, but that is our top priority tonight so I will be posting those up tomorrow, hopefully!
One big thing we did this weekend was register for our baby! Our moods varied from:
'wow! this is so cool! look at all this fun baby stuff all for our baby!' to
'mmm....glider...I think I will just rest my feet here for a little while...' to
''how do you decide in a crib/car seat/stroller when you have 25 different options??? This tiny breast pump costs almost as much as the crib does! And do we really need a bassinet, crib, and pack n play?? What about all the sheets, pads, mattresses, etc that go with all this stuff???? Ahhhhhh!!!!'
And I thought the wedding registry was tricky. Needless to say, as much safety and recommendation research that I did, I'm going to do more and refine ours lists so they are as perfecto for our little one as can be. But, in case anyone is interested, they can take a look at our registries at target.com and babiesrus.com. : ) Can you tell we have an animal/nature theme going on?
On another note, I just want to thank everyone for supporting us through our flood crisis and while things are getting better, they're not over yet. We've been out of the house a little over a month now, but we can officially drive up to the house. Our yard is one big muddy sewage pit. We still need to get FEMA out to the house, but we are starting to get estimates on the damage clean-up. I'll keep y'all posted on any significant updates.
Look for pics in the next day or two!
