Our Kayla Bug is 2! And you could tell she knew it was her big day on Monday too. She was super excited all day and bee-bopping all over the place. We had birthday cake after dinner and Kayla was playing with her three balloons and then she got her gifts! Mama and Dada got her a latch puzzle and Dora sheets for her new big girl bed. (Don't tell Kayla, but in a couple of months, we're going to start the big transition.) Here she is rolling around on her Dora sheets.

Kayla is also still very excited about being a big sister, so much that when you ask her how old she will be she responds with BIG SISTAH! When she actually gives a 'real' response, she grins and says two months. This is because baby Kieryn at daycare is two months old. I think I've heard her say two years old only once.
It's been getting pretty cold outside so Kayla has been bundling up in her winter jacket and hat. She was thrilled to wear them the first day although since then it takes some convincing to wear the hat.

Here's Kayla in her "TA-DA!!!" pose:

Before Jordan and I went to Costa Rica, Jordan carved a pumpkin for Kayla and here is Dada and Kayla showing off their pumpkin. She wasn't too interested in the pumpkin, but she was really excited about wearing her pumpkin mask until the camera came out. Then the pouting came and the picture had to be taken without the mask. But regardless, it is still a cute one.

And in the smart cookie category, Kayla can now recognize the majority of the letters and I actually saw her read the words "Kayla" and "Ma Ma" the other day. : )
