Happy 4th of July! The big news in Kayla's world is she has a tooth! Right on her 7th month birthday, her gums split and a couple of days later, a tooth appeared. Just yesterday, a second tooth appeared right next to it! She wasn't too fussy with her new teeth coming in, which is nice. It always surprises me everytime she smiles becaues I'm still not used to seeing them in there. Now every morning and evening, we are brushing her little teeth. It's so cute and Kayla loves it!
Kayla is moving on up in the food world and has tried oats and cheerios. She could probably much on cheerios all day if she wanted to.
Still no signs of crawling yet. She's pretty good at making silly faces though by either blowing bubbles or sticking out her tongue. She also makes duck lips when she is really concentrating on a toy. Kayla's a master at knocking down towers of cups or blocks. She really likes to see them fall. She's got some stranger anxiety going on which is typical, but if you're not her parents, grandparents, or daycare, she probably will put on a pouty face when held.
We switched her baby car seat to the convertable car seat. She was getting too heavy to carry around from store to car and car to house. Since she doesn't have the baby car seat, she is now sitting in carts, which is cute because Kayla's so small we have to put bags around her to prop her up. She is also sitting in her highchair which makes it easy to eat those cheerios and peas we put out for her.
