Welcome!
I've created this livejournal to keep everyone up to date on my prenancy, and in about 7 and a half months, the baby! I'll be posting pictures of ultrasounds and my baby bump when it comes too. I'm very new to bloggingso we'll see how this goes.
Well, I'm currently at 6.5 weeks into my pregnancy. For those of you who are not familiar, the baby is actually not 6.5 weeks old. It's about 4-4.5 weeks old. The counting begins on the first day of your period. Baby is about the size of a blueberry this week.
So far, I have felt great! I hardly feel like I am pregnant. The only constant clue I have is my boobs are getting bigger and they hurt! Other minor symptoms have been feeling more tired and having an uncomfortable feeling when I put pressure on my stomach like when I lie on it or lean up against the counter. So no more of that! Probably the most interesting thing that has happened came as one of my first signs that I was expecting. Smudge, our cat, would come up to me and start kneading on my stomach. He has never done this before and only did it to me. How did he know there was a baby in there?!?
I might have the slightest of bumps. Well, I shouldn't call it a bump, more of a rounding of my stomach. But when it becomes apparent, I'll post some photos.
My first appointment is in a week where they take blood and do a family history check. The following week we have our first ultrasound! Jordan will be coming with me then and we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat! Yea!
