Yea, so I was totally just kidding when I said we had our last camping trip a couple of months ago. We got the camping itch one last time a few weeks ago when the weather was warmer and decent enough to head out. This time we picked out an electrical site and brought a portable heater with us because this time.....Colin was with us!!
Where am I?? This isn't my crib!
After setting up the camper, we headed out on a little trail to the top of the 'mound'. Kayla led the way to the swingset at the top and had fun pushing me and Colin in the swing.

Here's the view from the top of the tower at the top of the mound. We're pretty high up!

After Colin went to bed in the toasty warm popup, we had our soup dinner by the fire. It got really chilly that evening; the fire could barely keep us warm! Kayla enjoyed it all in her monster hat.

The next day, we went back up to the top to check out the other tower. Kayla had fun looking through her 'noculars!

We then went for a hike where we took a few family photos. A family hiking by took the pics, and the only way we could get Colin to look at the camera was for them to pick their dog up and hold him by the camera. Silly Colin. The super nice photo will not be posted as there is a good chance you will be getting it in the mail in a month or so. : ) But here's the next best one with cute expressions from everyone!

Kayla - Sigh...another picture...
Colin - I want that monster hat!
Mama - Colin, you're a goof.
Dada - Cheese!!
This hike didn't end all that well. Halfway through, we realized there was a good chance we were going to get rained on. So we tried to encourage Kayla to hurry along. That didn't work. She wanted to vacuum the leaves with her big stick instead. Then Jordan picked her up so we could walk faster, and I'm pretty sure most of the park heard her pout from that. Colin eventually fell asleep. The couple of times, Kayla was put down, she ended up falling, which meant more crying. And then it did start raining. We were all pretty soaked by the time we got to the car.
Back at the camper, we were all warming up and having fun. Kayla had a blast jumping on my back.

Overall, we had a great time camping with the entire family. Colin even enjoyed most of it, especially the hiking. He could ride around in that front pouch all day if it were up to him. We're really looking forward to our big vacation out west with the popup next summer!
