8 weeks

Kayla will be eight weeks tomorrow and two months old this Thursday. I still can't believe it's been that long. We had a lactation appointment last week and good news! Kayla weighs over eight pounds now! She has come such a long way from when she started at 6 lbs 10 oz and dropping to 5 lbs 14 oz and all of her feeding difficulties. She is still a slow eater, but at least she is not falling asleep at every feeding.

She is smiling all the time now. All I have to do is smile at her or talk to her and she lets out a big toothless grin. She is also getting very chatty. We can have a 10 minute conversation and just coo at each other or Jordan will sing her a song and she'll 'sing' right back at him.

She is constantly craving attention from whoever will give it to her. She prefers sitting up to laying down. Today she was playing with a toy by touching and batting at it. She has her next doctor appointment next week, so I will update on that soon!
