Our trip to see Grandma and Papa started off quite nice since Milwaukee airport has this great little kids area. Kayla was very excited about climbing on all the blocks and after a few minutes she didn't need any of our help at all. A little boy joined her later on and they had fun walking around on the blocks together. We ended up spending over an hour just playing on the blocks.

One of Kayla's favorite things to do was play down by the "noisy water". On the balcony she likes to "shush" the noisy water too. Here are a few beach shots. Kayla enjoyed digging for buried treasure and pointing out all of the birds that flew by and the little birds walking on the beach.

Dada dug Kayla a big hole. I think he had to dig her a big hole to stand in each time we went down. This picture all shows a classic Kayla saying "cheese".

Kayla likes to get her feet wet in the noisy water! Then she'll pick sand up and wait for a wave to come and through the sand in the water.

Kayla is really starting to get into hiking and going for walks. Dada and I are SUPER excited about this. We are already thinking about the places we can take her and Noopy this summer. Here's Mama and Kayla hiking:

Taking a break from hiking to stand in a tree! Funny story at this park. We had walked out to a viewing platform and Kayla thought it would be a good time to go poops. A few minutes after she was done, an elderly couple came to the platform and said, "Hi" to Kayla. She responded with, "Hi. I'm pooping." : )

Our day at the zoo was lots of fun too. Her favorite animals were the elephants, zebras, and giraffes. Here she is at the petting zoo:

Kayla tried to get us to go to the park everyday too. Here she is at one of her park playtimes going over the "Grumpy Old Troll Bridge" (in reference to her favorite books, Dora the Explorer:

That's one happy family with a Kayla bug saying "Cheeeeese"
