Jordan: Kayla, six years ago today, Mama and Dada got married.
Kayla: I want to get married!
Jordan: How about we wait until you are older.
Kayla: What about when I'm four?
Umm..I don't think so Kayla bug. : )
For Jordan's birthday, he took a week long backpacking trip in the Tetons so it was just me, Kayla, and Colin for the week. It was a lot of fun and a little difficult, but we all managed. It was nice having grandma helping out on the weekends. Here are some photos from that week:
We've been trying for the longest time to have Kayla let us clip her toenails. She would never let us do them, so we've had to go under cover of darkness while she is sleeping to trim the toes, but it still was tricky because the light from a headlamp is just not the same. We were finally able to convince her to let us clip her nails, when we agreed that once they were done, we would paint her toenails. And what color did we paint her nails?? PURPLE!!
Jordan was the lucky one painting her toes because I was holding Colin at the time, so now whenever she wants her nails painted, she goes and asks Dada! Also, we have a little bug who likes to be a nakey bug allll the time, which is why there are no photos of the actual toenail painting. : )

In August, Kayla took two weeks of daily swim lessons. Being the fish that Kayla is, she loved them! She learned how to float and hold her breath underwater and get toys underwater. She had a lot of fun. Colin sat on the side with Dada and sometimes me when I could get out of work early and just watched Kayla swim. Here she is practicing her floats and kicks.
When it wasn't her turn, she would wait on the side of the pool. Then afterwards, they would have play time and go down the slides. Find Kayla!
