This week went by super fast between getting home from our Florida trip and heading out to D.C. for some work training that I didn't get a chance to update everyone on Kayla! Since I'm not at home and don't have pictures to update, you'll just have to wait until I get back this weekend for those. I'll be able to elaborate a bit more with pictures too. For now it's just the quick version.
Our trip to Florida was great. Kayla loved riding on the 'big airplane' and on our way back, was so excited that she stayed awake for the whole flight even though it was getting to be past her bedtime. Kayla loved every minute we were down in Florida from playing in the 'noisy water' aka the beach and getting buried in sand, to riding down the 'bumpy bumpy bumpy slide' at the park to seeing allllll the animals at the zoo. Although I shouldn't say all of them because there were some animals that weren't as fun and she would look at them and say, 'Next!' and we'd move on to the next one. Her favorites were of course all the animals in the Africa section. We also went for a couple of hikes that Kayla enjoyed as well. We gotta get her started sometime! : )
Kayla has started to become possessive over things and calling everything, "Mine!" I imagine this will be a long phase that will involve her teaching how to share. I can only hope that by the time Noopy is old enough to play, she'll be into sharing her things with him. Another favorite word of hers and it's not a new one, but one that she like to use frequently is , "Nooooo." A long whiney drawnout NO. This is my least favorite word of Kayla's and let's hope we can break the NO habit soon.
While I'm in D.C., Kayla is spending the whole week with Dada and we're Skyping (webcam) in the evenings. I'm glad I won't get to miss a day without seeing my Kayla Bug. Apparently, she was sad after leaving the airport because she wanted to ride on a big airplane too.
That's all I have. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get back!
