I think we have seen the last of Kayla's stick-up hair. : ( There is just a little bit in the back that sticks up, and the rest is flat on her head. We're sad, but her hair should be getting long enough soon for a cute little ponytail on top! She is also starting to get up onto her hands and knees, but quickly falls onto her tummy. I have a feeling she will start crawling while Jordan and I are on vacation in a couple of weeks.
Ahhh....vacation. A week from Sunday, Jordan and I will be flying out to Puerto Rico for a cruise. Yes, it's just me and Jordan and I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful time...once I get used to Kayla not being there. But no worries, she will be having a blast with all of the grandparents. And Kayla, Momma says no crawling until we get back! I'm hoping to get some time to videotape me and Jordan reading her books so that when she is going to bed, she can see the video of us.
Kayla experienced her first Halloween last weekend! Blackhawk Campground had their annual trick-or-treating. Unfortunately, Kayla missed the costume contest. Who schedules a baby costume contest during naptime?!? : ) But she woke up for dress-up (as a bunny!) and trick-or-treating. She was going to go as a bee and we her beekeepers, but the costume is too big, so we'll wait until next year for that one.
The next day we went to an apple and pumpking farm, the Elegant Farmer...
We often go rummage sale shopping for clothes and toys for Kayla. Here is Kayla with one of our better finds...a musical rocking horse!
