Kayla had her one year half birthday yesterday! That little girl is growing up way too fast. Her vocabulary is up to four words. The standard mama and dada. I love those! Her third word is Dora as in Dora the explorer. She likes to watch Dora at daycare. And the fourth word she just learned today is tickle. We're pretty sure she knows what it means too!
Kayla has had quite the busy few weeks. Her usual daycare was on vacation so she went to another daycare for the week. She watched more kids and had two that were Kayla's age. Kayla was NOT a fan of the new daycare. We think she is just not used to having all of the attention on her and instead having to share it with many other kids. It was a tough week not only for her, but for us as well since for the first time ever, she cried when Jordan left her at daycare to go to work. She also refused to go to bed at night. The only thing that helped was to have one of us stay by her crib until she fell asleep.
Well, sure enough, once that ordeal was done and Jenny was back from vacation, Kayla got sick! There was a bug going around the other daycare and Kayla must have caught it although thank goodness it wasn't nearly as bad as the other kids. Plus we think her sickness was a combination of the virus and teething. She's in the process of getting all four eye teeth in. But Kayla was very very happy to be back at Jenny's and now she is not the only one there. There is a little 3-4 month old girl that Kayla will get to play with soon.
We haven't taken many photos lately except for this past weekend, but they're not on the computer yet. So look for them soon!
